Skyservice Expands to the United States
Skyservice is expanding into the United States with the addition of four new service centres. They are located in the states of Washington, two in Oregon and one in Montana. At the Boeing-Field site in Seattle, the company will open a new 70,000 square foot hangar. The other airports are Redmond and Bend, Oregon, and Helena, Montana.
It was in 1986 that Russ Paysson started his Skyservice FBO business at Dorval Airport. Mr. Paysson had a management philosophy that rested on three basic pillars: customer service, customer service and customer service. This is how he was able to grow his business. Today it has operations in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary and is a leader in business aviation services.
From 2001 Skyservice ventured into the airlines before refocusing on business aviation in 2008. At one time, its aeromedical evacuation service was the largest in eastern Canada. Its Learjet 35 medevac fleet was use to brong back home vacationers hospitalized in sun destinations.
It currently has 75 aircraft under its operating certificate which are managed for third parties. Skyservice offers the full range of business aviation services, including charter. It is also the exclusive Canadian distributor of Honda Jet.
