Bombardier sells Q400 program to Viking Air
In its press release this morning on the financial statements for the third quarter of 2018, Bombardier confirms that it has entered into an agreement to sell the Q400 program to Longview Aviation Capital Corp. which is the owner of Viking Air. Bombardier will receive $ 300 million to dispose of all assets from De Havilland Canada and all manufacturing licenses of this brand that were still owned by Bombardier.
It will be up to Viking Air to find a way to reduce the production cost of the Q400 to make it a profitable program. The dismantling of the Bombardier Commercial Aircraft division is continuing and the question that all are asking now is what will happen to the CRJ?
