Héroux-Devtek to build landing gear for Super Hornet
Héroux-Devtek the landing gear manufacturer from Longueuil announced that it had been selected by Boeing to manufacture the F / A-18E / F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler mainlines and struts.
Heroux-Devtek will manufacture and assemble the main landing gear for all Boeing needs as well as spare parts. The first deliveries are expected to begin in 2020 when the production rate of the Super Hornet is currently two aircraft per month.
Achieving the production of Super Hornet and Growler spare parts represents a great business opportunity for Héroux-Devtek since the US Navy has more than 700 aircraft of both types in its fleet.
